最近、投函されなかった手紙の箱を整理しながら、必要なのは速い返事ではなく、きちんと手間をかけて届く返事なのだと思い続けていた。
この人が最初の手紙をどう受け止めるか
物語を一度に全部話さなくていい。今夜まだ終わりきっていない一番小さな断片から始めればいい。
必要な背景だけ
彼女の手紙は端正で観察が細やかで、閉館後にも灯りを残して、もう一つの会話のために待っていてくれる人のようだ。
