Privacy Policy

1. Scope and operator

This policy applies to LoveLetter, including the website, mobile app, connected email flows, subscription flows, and customer support activities. LoveLetter is operated by WenXinHuang.

Privacy requests, data access requests, and deletion requests may be sent to support@justlove.work.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and contact details such as email address and display name.
  • Content you submit to the service, including letters, drafts, prompts, support attachments, and product inputs.
  • Operational and technical data such as device type, app version, basic request logs, and diagnostics needed to keep the service working and prevent abuse.
  • Subscription and transaction metadata from app stores, payment processors, or other billing providers, such as product identifiers, renewal state, and transaction references.
  • Support messages, refund requests, and account recovery information you send to us.

3. How information reaches us

We collect information directly from you when you sign in, write letters, contact support, request a refund, or manage your relationship archive. We also receive limited billing and subscription status information from Apple, Google, or other payment providers, and basic technical data from your browser, device, and our hosting infrastructure when you use the service.

4. How we use information

  • To provide the LoveLetter correspondence service and deliver replies.
  • To operate accounts, support subscriptions, and manage service usage.
  • To power drafting, pacing, reply generation, moderation, safety review, and related AI-assisted product features.
  • To improve reliability, security, and product performance.
  • To respond to support requests, refund issues, disputes, and legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we generally process information because it is needed to perform our contract with you, because you asked us to provide a feature, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing the service, or because we must comply with legal obligations.

5. AI, email delivery, and service providers

LoveLetter may use third-party infrastructure and model providers to operate letter drafting, reply-generation, email delivery, fraud prevention, subscription verification, storage, and customer support. To provide these features, we may send the relevant letter content, relationship context, account identifiers, and delivery metadata needed for that task.

We expect processors acting on our behalf to handle personal information consistently with this policy. Some providers may keep limited logs for security, debugging, abuse prevention, or legal compliance under their own terms. We do not share your correspondence for third-party advertising.

6. Payments and subscriptions

When billing is enabled, payment processing and merchant-of-record activities may be handled by a third-party payment provider such as Paddle, Apple, Google, or other store operators. LoveLetter does not store full payment card details on its own servers.

If you purchase through the App Store or Google Play, subscription management, renewal timing, cancellation, and certain refund controls are also subject to that store's rules and account settings.

7. Sharing and disclosures

We only share information with service providers and infrastructure partners that are reasonably necessary to operate the product, process payments, deliver emails, maintain security, or comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share letter content for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose limited information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect users, the public, or the service.

8. Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Relationship content and account records are generally kept while your account remains active. When you initiate deletion from the in-app account screen or request deletion through support, we will aim to delete or de-identify the account and correspondence within a reasonable period, except for information we need to keep for billing reconciliation, tax, fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance.

9. Your choices and rights

You may request account access, correction, or deletion subject to legal and operational requirements. You may also stop using the service at any time.

Where applicable law gives you additional rights, such as the right to know, access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing, you may contact us and we will review the request under the law that applies to your account.

Privacy requests may be sent to support@justlove.work. Account deletion can also be initiated directly from the Account screen in the mobile app.

10. International transfers

LoveLetter and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. When we do so, we rely on appropriate contractual, organizational, and security measures where required by applicable law.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

LoveLetter is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to consent to data processing on their own. If you believe a child provided personal information to LoveLetter, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date above, provide in-product notice, or take other steps when required by law.
