1. Service overview

LoveLetter is a digital-only software product that provides an AI-assisted correspondence experience. Users can browse fictional pen-pal profiles, draft first letters, receive paced reply drafts, and manage relationship archives through the website and connected email flows.

2. Nature of the correspondence experience

LoveLetter is an interactive product experience, not a channel for communication with verified real-world pen pals. Unless we explicitly state otherwise for a specific feature, the correspondents, reply pacing, and letter drafts presented in the product are fictional or AI-assisted service features.

You are responsible for deciding whether this type of product experience is appropriate for you. The service is meant for reflective entertainment and creative interaction, not for dependency-sensitive, emergency, or high-risk situations.

3. Eligibility and account use

You must provide accurate information when using the service, including a valid email address for correspondence delivery. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, browser, and email account.

You must also meet the age and capacity requirements that apply in your location to use digital services and manage purchases. If you create or use an account on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use LoveLetter for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
• Do not attempt to interfere with the service, reverse engineer protected systems, or bypass usage limits.
• Do not submit content that infringes third-party rights, violates applicable law, or is designed to harass, exploit, or manipulate others.
• Do not use the service as a substitute for crisis support, medical care, legal advice, or other professional services.

5. Billing and subscriptions

LoveLetter plans are digital subscriptions and optional one-time digital top-up purchases. Pricing, plan limits, and included features are described on the pricing page. If billing is enabled, fees are charged in advance for the applicable billing period unless otherwise stated at checkout.

For auto-renewing subscriptions, renewal charges, trial details, price, duration, and cancellation terms are controlled by the store or checkout flow you use. Unless canceled in time through the applicable store or billing provider, subscriptions may renew automatically for the next billing period.

If you purchased through the App Store or Google Play, you must manage the subscription through that same store account unless the applicable law or store tools allow a different path. One-time top-up purchases are non-transferable and are consumed as product usage is granted.

6. Refunds and cancellations

Subscription cancellations stop future renewals and do not retroactively reverse access already provided for the current billing period. Refund requests are reviewed under the LoveLetter Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Store-managed purchases may also be subject to Apple, Google, or other billing-provider refund controls and consumer rights. We may decline refunds where service access, digital usage, or top-up consumption has already been provided, except where required by law.

7. User content and AI-assisted features

You retain rights to content you submit, subject to the rights you grant us to host, process, transmit, transform, moderate, and display that content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service.

LoveLetter includes AI-assisted drafting and reply-generation features. These features are offered as software functionality, may be imperfect, and should not be relied on as factual, legal, medical, or therapeutic advice.

We may review or restrict content when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, or maintain service integrity.

8. Service disclaimers

LoveLetter is not a mental health service, medical provider, emergency channel, or crisis intervention tool. If you need urgent help, professional care, or emergency assistance, do not rely on the service and contact an appropriate local provider immediately.

We do not promise that any reply, pacing window, relationship state, or AI-generated output will be uninterrupted, emotionally suitable, or free from mistakes.

9. Intellectual property

The LoveLetter website, software, branding, and service materials are owned by LoveLetter or its licensors. Except where required by law or expressly permitted in writing, you may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or create unauthorized derivative services from protected parts of the platform.

10. Service availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service from time to time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, but we aim to maintain a reliable digital service experience.

We may also change features, models, pacing systems, relationship limits, or purchase options as the product evolves, including changes required for security, store compliance, or legal reasons.

11. Suspension, termination, and deletion

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe an account is being used unlawfully, abusively, fraudulently, in ways that threaten the service, or in violation of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time and may initiate account deletion from the in-app Account screen, subject to legal and operational requirements.

Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by Apple, Google, or another store. You are responsible for canceling recurring billing through the same store or provider before or after deletion, as applicable.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LoveLetter is provided on an as-available basis and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

13. Governing terms and changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the operator's principal place of business, except to the extent consumer protection law in your place of residence requires otherwise.
